Aaron Cherniak, MA, PhD

I have practiced in a range of settings, including inpatient and outpatient departments and community clinics. Alongside my private practice, I work in the Shaare Nefesh Resilience Center in Shaare Zedek Medical Center established to address the need for trauma treatment in the wake of the October 7 war. Previously, I have worked in the Clinic of the Baruch Ivcher School of Psychology at IDC Herzliya, Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center, and the Jerusalem Mental Health Center. In the latter, I co-directed a DBT skills training program. I have conducted workshops for mental health professionals and pastoral training programs on the clinical implications of spirituality/religion and spiritually-integrated mental healthcare to advance evidence-based, culturally competent psychotherapy. I earned my BA (Summa cum Laude) and rabbinic ordination at Yeshiva University. I earned my MA in Clinical Psychology (Magna cum Laude) at Reichman University (formerly IDC Herzliya) and my PhD at Stockholm University.
