DESCRIPTION

Childhood Trauma Recovery Group – Relationship Recovery Process (RRP)

This is a small, supportive group for adults who experienced difficult or painful experiences in childhood and want to better understand and heal from their impact on their lives today.

The group follows the Relationship Recovery Process (RRP), a relational and experiential approach to childhood trauma recovery. The work combines a deeper understanding of what participants experienced growing up with exploration of how those experiences continue to shape emotions, relationships,  and patterns of responding in the present.

Alongside developing this understanding, the group includes experiential work designed to help participants process and heal from childhood wounds, rather than only talking about them intellectually. The group provides an opportunity to develop new experiences of being seen, understood, supported, and in relationship with others.

The group begins with a six-month commitment, with the possibility and intention of continuing the work beyond the initial six months with the same group of participants. This continuity allows trust and safety to develop gradually and gives participants the opportunity to experience meaningful relationships over time.

The group is closed, with 6–8 participants, and meets weekly for 1.5 hours. The same participants remain together throughout the group, creating a consistent and contained environment.
