Overview
In this presentation, we will explore the power of attunement and how to cultivate a present inner state that allows for deep sensing of our clients. This is the basis to develop strong healing relationships that accelerate our clients' processing. Our nervous systems have an incredible power to synchronize with each other, especially applied in therapeutic and group settings. The therapist’s level of inner integration is key to being able to resonate deeply with and to be present with our clients. We will incorporate experiential practices that can help us to deepen our presence and attunement skills. We will dispel beliefs that get caught in hyper-individualistic views toward humans in order to make use of the healing power of inter-dependence and explore how individual integration and collective spaces amplify each other.
We will tie this in with the IAC-fluidity approach (Individual, Ancestral, and Collective trauma integration): Why trauma is not just an individual experience but a system that has a societal design dimension, and why does treating trauma often need to include the systemic level as well? Understanding and distinguishing between emergent and non-emergent processes in individuals, inter-generational and collective dynamics is crucial for thawing that which was frozen and promoting greater freedom, connectedness, creativity, and capacity for change. Broadening our awareness of trauma systems has a profound impact and represents the pinnacle of trauma integration work.
