I qualified from the University of Manchester in the UK with a Masters in counselling and psychotherapy. I made Aliyah with my family in 2015 to Beit Shemesh and understand fully the challenges Olim go through making the transition to a new life. I have experience of working both in a busy Doctors clinic, schools as well as in private practice. I have a wide range of experience ranging from working with complex trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, dissociative disorders, addictions, couples, troubled teens, through to working on self-esteem and personal growth. I believe fervently that as we are all individuals and our needs are unique, each client comes with a very different set of needs and will require a therapy individual tailored to them. Because of my philosophy, I have trained in a wide range of skills, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Somatic Experiencing and EMDR and I always endeavour to provide the best therapy for each case.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on how one's thoughts, feelings and behaviors are connected and can be changed. It is based on the idea that how we think (cognition) and how we feel (emotion) can influence how we behave. CBT helps people identify and challenge distorted thinking and replace it with more balanced thinking, leading to improved mood and behavior. ‘Homework’, usually containing practical writing exercises, is often completed by the client between sessions to reinforce the therapy. Examples of tools that practitioners often use are journaling, challenging beliefs, and mindfulness.
Emotion-Focused TherapyEmotion-focused therapy (EFT) is a type of psychotherapy that is based on the idea that emotions play a key role in a person’s mental health. EFT focuses on helping people to identify, accept, and manage their emotions in a healthy and productive way. The goal of EFT is to help people identify and express their emotions, understand how those emotions impact their behavior, and learn how to manage their emotions in a way that is adaptive and healthy. EFT is a research-based approach to psychotherapy that has been found to be effective in helping people manage a variety of mental health conditions. It has been used successfully in the treatment of individuals, couples, and families, as well as with groups. EFT is particularly beneficial for people who struggle with emotional regulation, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment that was originally designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. It uses a structured approach to address the past events that may be causing current distress, and uses bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, to activate different neural networks in the brain in order to reduce symptoms of trauma. EMDR has been found to be effective for a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
