I am a social worker with close to 40 years of experience. Most of my professional experience was gained through my service in the Israeli army as a mental health officer. My field of experience in the army was screening and evaluating applicants, both before and during military service. The military recognizes that new recruits including Lone Soldiers can face many challenges such as feelings of disorientation, helplessness, loneliness, alienation, disappointment and disenchantment, loss of control and lack of confidence. My expertise is being able to assess and identify possible challenges that a Lone Soldier may face during their transition to Israel and into the military system or towards the end of their army service. With this assessments the goal is to provide an adjusted reference to the condition of the military service candidate.
